Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by publishing house.
Best-selling children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
An official for the firm said: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an investigation into claims about questionable actions directed at women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies internationally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, encompassing a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.
A Dual Career
His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
